Are your jewelry pieces water-resistant?

Yes, our stainless steel jewelry is designed to be water-resistant, including for everyday wear. It can also withstand occasional swimming in the sea and pool.
However, to preserve the beauty and longevity of your Sharlaim jewelry, it's essential to give it some attention. The best advice Sharlaim can give you, and one we follow with our own jewelry to keep it looking its best for as long as possible, is to limit prolonged contact with water and chemicals, and to clean it thoroughly after exposure. After each use, remember to clean it carefully with clean water, then gently dry it with a soft cloth.

Is there a difference between 304 and 316L stainless steel?

Although 304 stainless steel and 316L are both the most commonly used materials for stainless steel jewelry and excellent for creating durable pieces, there is nevertheless a small difference between them.

304 stainless steel:
Although it offers good corrosion resistance under normal conditions, it is less suitable for saline or chlorinated environments. Therefore, prolonged exposure to seawater and chlorinated swimming pool water should be avoided.

316L stainless steel: Enriched with molybdenum, it offers optimal resistance even in marine or chlorinated environments. Ideal for everyday use, it retains its shine despite regular exposure to fresh water, seawater, or swimming pools.

How do I clean and care for my jewelry?

Rinse after contact with water: After the sea or the pool, rinse your jewelry with fresh water and then dry it with a soft cloth.

Limit exposure to chemicals: Perfumes, lotions, or household products can dull the shine. Apply them before putting on your jewelry and wait until they are absorbed or dry.

Regular cleaning: Warm water and mild soap, gentle rubbing with a lint-free cloth or soft brush, rinse thoroughly and dry well.
Careful storage: Keep your jewelry in a dry place, away from moisture and excessive heat. Use a fabric-lined box to prevent scratches and impacts.

Can I make a return or get a refund?

Returns are possible for refund or exchange within 14 days of receiving the order, with the exception of earrings which are not eligible for return for hygiene reasons in accordance with Article L221-28 of the Consumer Code.

After this period, we will not be able to offer a refund or exchange. Products purchased during a promotion are not eligible for exchange or refund.

The jewelry must be returned in the same condition as you received it, unworn, in its entirety (accessories, free jewelry, bags, cases, boxes, etc.), carefully packed in its original packaging to ensure optimal protection during delivery and accompanied by the invoice.

Sharlaim reserves the right to refuse a refund for the returned product if the aforementioned conditions are not met.

Return shipping costs are your responsibility.

If your order was damaged during shipping, please contact customer service at contact@sharlaimbijoux.com with photos of the damaged order upon receipt of your package, along with your order number, within 5 business days of receiving the package. After this period, no claims will be accepted.

We are not responsible for the theft or disappearance of packages.
